Producing aluminium from recycled material requires only around 5% of the energy needed compared to production from primary raw materials. This helps save large amounts of energy and resources.

Steel = Recycling Champion

Steel is one of the most recycled materials worldwide and can be reused almost indefinitely without losing its properties. This allows the raw material to remain in circulation for the long term.

Recycling on a Metropolitan Scale

In addition to saving energy and resources, recycling also helps reduce CO₂ emissions. In Germany, the use of scrap metal in manufacturing processes avoids more than 20 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions every year – roughly equivalent to the annual emissions of a major city.
